Mukesh Ambani, with a net worth of Rs 3,86,210 crore, is the richest Indian and the chairman of Reliance Industries Ltd. The business magnate deals in various industries, from telecom and sports to steel and power. For a man of Ambani’s stature, a generic villa or bungalow just doesn’t cut it. So, the Gujarati businessman erected a building in the heart of South Mumbai and turned it into one of the world's most expensive residential properties, second only to the Buckingham Palace. Antilia, located at Altamount Road, was valued at a whopping $2 billion in 2014, which roughly translates to Rs 15,000 crore.

Designed by American firm Perkins & Will, and constructed by Australia’s Leighton Holdings, sea-facing Antilia stands tall, catching the eye of everyone in the area. The asymmetrical structure of the building is replete with sprawling terrace gardens. Even though Antilia is built in a way to fit nearly 60 floors, the building has only 27 floors, with extra high ceilings.

The colour theme of the entire house bends towards pastel. There are shades of brown, beige and cream. Every piece of furniture is opulent, every corner embellished with chandeliers. Antilia's interior is based on the lotus as well as the sun motifs. But that’s not all, to beat the heat, Mukesh Ambani can literally make it snow. A “Snow Room” in his house is reportedly equipped with a mechanism that creates artificial snowflakes when the sun shines too bright.

Statue of Unity Statue of Unity project was first announced on 7 October 2010 The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Rashtriya Ekta Trust (SVPRET) was established by the Gujarat government for construction of the statue.
